Mortlach, meaning 'bowl-shaped valley,' was the first legal distillery in Dufftown. In the 19th century the barley granary was used as a church for a short period. A deep amber colour, the nose is smoky and peaty with sherry notes. The palate is medium to full, with brazil nuts, apples and sherry on a rich finish.
